Shore Themes 2003–04

On first viewing, the shore theme paintings appear to be images of sea, sky, clouds, beach, rocks, and related forms. On closer inspection, some forms subtly mutate and suggest other things which add a new level of meaning and a variety of interpretations. They unite subtle aspects of abstraction, realism, surrealism, and elements of the supernatural, as they manifest a calm peaceful and spiritual quietness.
